Do you actually know Dragon Ball or do you just know the power levels.
Because there’s a difference. Anyone can tell you Goku goes Super Saiyan. That’s not impressive that’s just watching the show. I’m talking about the small stuff. The one line Android 8 said to kid Goku that literally shaped who he became. The moment Android 16 said one thing and unlocked something in Gohan nobody even knew was there. That stuff.
If you know these characters take the quiz. If not you’re about to learn something
Goku : he guy who has space in his heart even for Frieza” Everyone knows Goku. But do you know who actually made him who he is? Not Vegeta. Not Whis. Think smaller. Think older. One conversation changed this man forever and most people sleep on it.
Vegeta : “The prince who had to unlearn everything” Vegeta literally called Jiren an incredible warrior. You know how rare that is. This man does not give compliments. That alone tells you how far he came from the guy who blew up planets for fun.
Piccolo : The one who actually understood Gohan” Piccolo started as a villain. Full villain. And somehow became the most emotionally reliable person in the whole show. He knew Gohan better than anyone. Not Chi-Chi. Not Goku. Piccolo. The guy who was supposed to destroy the world ended up being the reason the world’s greatest fighter didn’t lose himself. Make that make sense.
Gohan : “The strongest one who never wanted to fight” Piccolo understood him. Android 16 understood him. His own father kind of didn’t. Gohan is the most complicated character in this whole franchise and people just remember him for Cell Games and that’s it. That’s not enough man.
Android 17 : “Lowkey the most underrated one in the whole franchise” People forgot about him for like two whole arcs and then he shows up in Tournament of Power and holds his own against literal gods. No drama. No big speech. Just performing. I feel like 17 is the character that doesn’t need your attention and that’s exactly why he deserves it.
Krillin : “The most human person in a show full of gods” Every single person around him outgrew him in power and he kept showing up anyway. That’s not stupidity that’s something else. That’s heart. Krillin never stopped being relevant even when the numbers stopped making sense for him. Also Android 18 married him which is still the wildest thing this franchise ever did and I mean that respectfully.
Master Roshi : “The guy who started everything and people treat him like a joke” Without Roshi there is no Goku. Simple as that. People remember the sunglasses and the old man stuff and forget that this man trained the foundation of the greatest fighter who ever lived. And then showed up in Tournament of Power at his age and competed. Come on. Give this man his flowers already.
Tien : “Three eyes. Zero fear. Never got his moment but always showed up.” Tien held Cell. By himself. Knew he couldn’t win knew he was going to get destroyed and did it anyway just to buy time for the others. Nobody talks about this scene enough. He doesn’t have a transformation. Doesn’t have a god form. Just Tien being Tien and somehow that hits different every single time.
Frieza : “The one Goku tried to save. Yeah. Save.” This man erased planets like it was nothing. Wiped out an entire race including Goku’s own people. And Son Goku still tried to save his life on Namek. Most people watching that moment were like why. But if you really paid attention to who Goku is and where he came from you already knew why. Frieza is the ultimate villain but he’s also the biggest proof of who Goku really is.
